Careers
The specialist profiles our services are built on. Speculative applications are welcome.
Who we look for
We work with a small circle of employed and freelance specialists, and we widen it whenever we meet the right people. Projects arrive at short notice, which is why getting in touch is worth it even without an advertised role.
What the profiles have in common: you work close to the client. You understand the business first, derive an architecture that will hold from it, and then take the solution into production yourself. The move from understanding to designing to building happens in one head, not across three departments.
This page sets out the profiles our services are built on. If you recognise yourself in one, write to us.
Profiles
AI and agent engineering
Agentic systems that hold up in operation, not only in a demo. The profile behind custom AI agents, deep agentic systems, and enterprise RAG.
- · Agent architecture, harness design, and orchestration
- · Evaluation and guardrails for non-deterministic systems
- · Retrieval, chunking strategies, and grounded answers
- · Model selection with cost and latency in mind
- · Python, TypeScript, and a real testing habit
Data engineering
Dependable data paths from source through to delivery. The profile behind data apps, pipelines, and data products.
- · Pipelines and orchestration, for example dbt or Airflow
- · Data modelling for warehouses and lakehouses
- · Data quality, testing, and observability
- · Batch and streaming, connecting to source systems
- · SQL and Python at production quality
Data science and analytics
Turning a vague business question into an answerable one. The profile behind use-case discovery and analytical data products.
- · Sharpening the question before reaching for a model
- · Statistics, experiments, and forecasting
- · Impact and feasibility sizing for candidate use cases
- · Results that business units understand and act on
- · The Python stack and visualisation
Cloud and platform engineering
The foundation much of the rest reaches production on. The profile behind target architecture, operations, and on-premises setups.
- · Infrastructure as code, Terraform in particular
- · GCP, Azure, or AWS, plus on-premises operation
- · CI/CD, observability, and cost control
- · Identity, access, networking, and zoning
- · Setups that survive an audit
What counts
Production readiness
The gap between a prototype and something a team still operates a year later is the actual job.
Direct client contact
You talk to business units and IT, run the occasional workshop, and write clearly.
German and English
Both are project languages. Swiss clients, often English-language technology.
Judgement
Knowing when AI is the right answer and when a query, a script, or a conversation would do.
Get in touch
Tell us briefly what you last worked on and what you are looking for. A link to code, a project, or something you have written says more than a formal CV. We reply even when nothing is open.
